This is my prayer for you today, Friend. I know, it’s assuming a great deal!
It assumes that you know how very much you are loved by God the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ.
It assumes that you have accepted his eternal comfort and wonderful hope that only come through his Grace.
Finally, it assumes that you will be doing and saying good things today, regardless of the trials and difficulties you may be going through! (You can read more about what the Thessalonians were experiencing earlier in Paul’s letter.)
So the actual “ask” in this prayer for you today is that as you do good things and as you say good things, God would comfort and strengthen you.
So we keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do. Then the name of our Lord Jesus will be honored because of the way you live, and you will be honored along with him. This is all made possible because of the grace of our God and Lord, Jesus Christ.2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 NLT
