Rhododendron Blossom

One Alone, or One of Many?

Rhododendron Blossom

Here you are!

You believe in God, you believe that His Son, Jesus, came to die for your sins, and hopefully you are living “a life worthy of the calling you have received” (Ephesians 4:1). In living to please God and allowing the fruit of the Spirit to grow (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control~~Galatians 5:22-23), you become inviting to others who may be searching for meaning in this life. But you are not meant to be a lone ranger.

Hebrews 10:25 says, “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another…” Believers living in unity are showing the love of Christ, building one another up, and supporting each other in Christian growth. Together, they can do much more than individually.

Just look at you now! Look at all of the flowers together, in one place! To a bee, this is the mother lode!!

You are part of a much bigger whole than you may realize. “Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are all parts of His one body, and each of us has different work to do. And since we are one body in Christ, we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the others” (Romans 12:4-5 NLT). The body of Christ is comprised of believers around the world.

You are needed to shine brightly in your world, but you are also needed to encourage your brothers and sisters in the faith. In turn, you are strengthened and inspired to carry on in your journey of becoming more like Christ.

Where will you be this Sunday? Meet together, pray for each other and for Christians around the world, and encourage one another. Then go out and shine His love to a world that desperately needs Him!
