Why do we make it so complicated?

We were created to be loved . . .
This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
1 John 4:10 NLT
. . . and to love.
Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
Ephesians 5:2
As we increasingly understand the love God has for us in spite of our failures and mistakes, it becomes easier to share that same unconditional love with the world around us.

This Christmas, take time to remember why Jesus left heaven and came to earth.
For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16
He was motivated by his great love for us. Do you believe it? If so, go share this simple message with someone!

Created to be loved, you say,
and that sounds quite cuddly,
but I fear it’s not my way,
’cause I was made for rugby,
the jarring slam of meat on bone,
the grunting in the maul;
no need for me to atone,
for on the pitch, I have it all!
Cameraderie and pain,
blood and sweat (but never tears!);
next week we’ll do it all again,
and if we live to later years
we’ll put well aside fatigue
and play on in the senior league.
Yes, I am quite mad. Barb says so.
