We flew to Florida this week, and I was looking forward to capturing pictures of the top side of the cloud layer while we were way up high.
Wouldn’t you know it, there was barely a cloud in the sky!
But here’s a cute wispy fellow floating along. Look at the size of the cloud compared to the ground below covered by its shadow (just above the yellow arrow)!

Those tiny buildings give a small sense of scale. To me, the shadow looks huge in comparison!
It makes me think of the effect we can have on the lives of others without even realizing it.
When in love we do what we were created to do, God multiplies the outcome beyond what we could imagine.
“He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love” (Ephesians 4:16 NLT).
When in love we do for others what they can not, God magnifies his love for them through the lens of our actions.
“Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ“ (Galatians 6:2).
When in love we honor others above ourselves and pursue peace, God increases the peace in both our hearts and relationships.
“Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace” (Ephesians 4:2-3).
Dear friend, stay true to following Jesus. The impact of your faithfulness will only be fully seen on the other side of this life!
The photo is lovely, and I agree, we can have a bigger impact than we realise sometimes.
