Seasons Come and Seasons Go

The snow has a charm of its own, but can you see the promise of future beauty? Here’s a peek at what’s coming…

Buds and flowers Those same bare branches weighed down under the weight of melting snow will soon be covered in beautiful blossoms.

After the flood, God promised, “As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night”  (Genesis 8:22). It’s easy to feel as if certain seasons of life will never end, and we’ll be trapped in them forever. Other times we absolutely love the season we find ourselves in, and never want it to leave! But God created life on this earth with certain rhythms, and fighting those rhythms won’t get us very far. Solomon wrote, “For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)…birth and death…planting and harvesting…tearing down and building up…crying and laughing…grieving and dancing…being quiet and speaking…

What season do you find yourself in right now? What is it time for you to be doing? Focus on what God has for you right where you are. He has a plan for you, and this season is part of your journey.
