January Readers’ Top Picks

Now that February has arrived, it’s time to see which posts readers liked most in January!

#5: Pinterest Predicts: Emotional Escape Rooms

Instead of escaping our emotions, perhaps we can focus on getting healthy emotionally and spiritually! In this post I share a few ideas on creating a space and a routine for mental, emotional and spiritual self-care.

#4: Scripture Writing Resources

Slowing down and taking time to write out verses from the Bible can increase its impact as we interact with what we’re writing. I share two groups I’ve joined on Facebook and a few other resources that may interest you.

#3: The Original Biophilic Designer

Why do we feel the need to bring nature inside when we can’t get out into it ourselves? I’d love to hear what you think!

#2: Separation or Reconciliation

How do we live as followers of Christ, set apart from the world while at the same time called to a ministry of reconciliation?

And the winner is . . .

#1: Check This Out!

Book covered in paper bag colored with pink and black checks

This absolutely cracked me up. Readers chose a silly how-to post over everything else. This was my response to another Pinterest prediction for the year, expecting society to absolutely love everything checkered! So I gave a picture tutorial on how to cover a book with a paper bag and add a checkered design.

If you’re my age, it just may take you back a bit to your school days!!

Now it’s your turn!

  1. The Biophilic Design is my favorite! (I’m happy big difficulties commenting on your posts!). I do feel drawn to nature; I have felt it as a young girl. It’s when I feel the closest to God. I do love bringing nature indoors~but being IN nature is my favorite. I hope you’re doing well! 💕

      1. Thank you! It’s about 8 inches deep, and several shoveling sessions that won’t end just yet. I’m nice and cozy~and thankful! You please stay safe, too! ❄️🙏🏻
