I didn’t do it right, but just look at what happened! A beautiful mess, in my opinion.

We have a refrigerator/freezer combo, but we also have a small chest freezer in the basement in case there’s a really, really good deal on frozen foods we should stock up on.
I try to keep the chest freezer full, because that’s when it’s the most energy-efficient. When it’s not full of food (which is most of the time), I fill up the rest of the space with jugs of water. These frozen blocks of ice not only help the freezer work well, they also help keep it cold and protect what food we have in there if we lose power.
There’s a very important step to freezing liquid — always leave room for expansion!
Looks like I misjudged and filled this one too full. But the result is beautiful with sunbeams streaming through! It’s a work of art.
God created crystals, from diamonds, the hardest natural material in the world, to ice that melts with just a little warmth. They come in different shapes and have a wide variety of uses, but they’re all beautiful!
So why am I sharing this with you today?
Take this short post as a simple reminder that God can create beauty out of your messes and mistakes.
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
Romans 8:28 NLT (emphasis mine)
I think you know what “everything” means. Nothing is left out. Even your messes and mistakes.
Be encouraged today, my friend!

I am excited to share a new creative outlet of mine! I have begun designing printables for you to download that lead you through intentional time with Jesus.
I use my own photographs in all of my printables. If you like my pictures, it’s another way to get them for yourself!
