I love watching the sky during my commutes throughout the week. Every day provides a different scene with clouds carried along by invisible air currents. Even on clear, cloudless days the sky contains different hues of blue.
I took all of these pictures within five minutes of each other, facing different directions (obviously not while I was driving!). Not only does the sky change day-by-day, it changes minute by minute, and what we see varies based on our viewpoint!

Just as the sky always provides a new scene, God provides us with a fresh start each day.
“The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning“ (Lamentations 3:22-23).

Perhaps you feel you’ve made too much of a mess of your life (or even of your yesterday) to deserve God’s love and mercy. Well, don’t despair. None of us deserves His kindness. But we can be assured that He forgives us when we ask Him to.
“But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness” (1 John 1:9).
You are loved by the Almighty Creator. Walk with Him in newness of life!
“Just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives“ (Romans 6:4).
Begin today with a fresh, clean slate!
This has been a Throwback Thursday post, bringing previous thoughts about clouds and skies into the current “Sky” segment of our Creation series. I originally posted this in November of 2015, but it still holds true!
