I know you’re wondering what snails have to do with running. Let me tell you about these cute, little, harmless-looking moon snails. Moon snails seek out clams and other similar ocean animals, drill a hole in the shell, and slurp out the insides. Still think they’re cute? Maybe cool, but I think they’ve lost the “cute” factor for me! Continue reading Run!

Miscellaneous thoughts on living this Christian life
Fearfully Majestic
What do you think of when you hear the word “majesty”?
I think of the line “for purple mountain majesties” from America the Beautiful written by Katherine Lee Bates. Thank you to my friend, Luke Eskelund, who posted this picture while traveling in Norway last week! Now that is a majestic scene!
I also think eagles soaring high above us on thermals are majestic.
Have you come up with anything else paired with “majestic”? Continue reading Fearfully Majestic
Keep Growing!
Last year, my husband decided he wanted to expand his garden. To increase the area receiving direct sunshine, he hired someone to cut down four trees beside our house. This is what all four of them looked like last year. They’re all still out there, taller than I am! But they don’t all look like this anymore. Join the Chorus!

David loved to sing, too… Continue reading Join the Chorus!
Lose Those Suckers!
Just look at the cute little cherry tomato blossoms, promising nice, juicy additions to my salad bowl in a few weeks. Wait a second, what’s that I see down below?? Continue reading Lose Those Suckers!
Captivating Trees
A tree is a tree is a tree…how can you tell?
I took all of these pictures at my husband’s softball game a few weeks ago. All trees, although they all look completely different! Tall, short, spindly, bushy, green leaves, red leaves, needles, straight limbs, convoluted limbs…but all definitely trees. What makes a tree a tree? Continue reading Captivating Trees
