Detestation: Wednesday Words

This is an oldie but a goodie I came across in a quote from Thomas Goodwin, an English Puritan theologian and preacher who lived in the 1600s.

On this first Sunday of Advent, I simply want to share a few verses of hope with you. No extra thoughts of mine, just the verses themselves. May one strike a spark of hope in your heart as we begin this season.

“Everything”? Really??

Today is Thanksgiving in the United States. I don’t know how many of our citizens are actually giving thanks to God as originally intended, or who they’re thanking for what, but followers of Christ use this day as an opportunity to remember the source of all things good in our lives.
