I Can’t See You!
On our trip south this past summer, my husband and two of our children hiked up Mount Mitchell, the tallest peak east of the Mississippi. I drove up with our third to “rescue” them from the top! Once you’ve driven as far as you can, there is still a short hike to reach the summit. I took this picture from the top of Mount Mitchell, looking at one of the nearby peaks as the clouds were rolling in. That peak seemed to disappear as the clouds moved in, and even some trees nearby became hard to see. I knew they were still there, even if I couldn’t see them anymore. You’re My Favorite!
Phlox is my favorite spring flower! Its bright happy colors spread to cover the area surrounding it, sometimes even draping over rock walls. You can barely even see the green leaves under all of those flowers packed in together! It reminds me of the verse that says, “Love covers over a multitude of sins” (1 Peter 4:8).
