How does a horse’s body read the hours of sunlight to know when to shed its winter coat?
How do the seeds buried in the ground over winter start sprouting at just the right time in the spring?
How do the stars stay in place, so that we see the same stars Job saw?
How do memories work?
How do animal mothers know how to take care of their first young?
How do spiders know how to build intricate webs?
How is it that earth is the exact distance from the sun to support life?
How is it that the dark-eyed junco looks different depending on what area of the country it’s born?
So many “how” questions, but none keep me awake at night. I often find myself in company with David, who wrote, “LORD, my heart is not proud; my eyes are not haughty. I don’t concern myself with matters too great or too awesome for me to grasp” (131:1 NLT).
My brain is most definitely finite, and can only take hold of so much! The rest I leave to the Creator, who holds it all together.
Now It’s Your Turn!

How can humans be so cruel
How can we never learn.
How do we get through the days when our hearts are breaking.
How lucky we are and yet we don’t know it .💜💜

So many wonderful things to ponder or simply appreciate. Sunsets amaze me, especially when they seem to be over or not that spectacular, but then glowing surprises emerge. Thank you for holding up some of the marvels of creation.

Hi Lauri! Yes, there are innumerable “how” questions for all of us and that is one of the ways I appreciate Google and the internet – answers at the tip of our fingers. Along with blogging, of course. My unanswered “how” questions are about the human psyche and spirit – why we do the things we do and sometimes act very inappropriately or with malice. I’ve never understood the dark side of the mind and perhaps it’s because I say away from it and also depend on faith to keep me on the right path. Have a great weekend!

Yes, the dark side is quite the conundrum. So glad faith keeps you on the lit path (Psalm 119:105)!

These are GREAT questions.
How can the Creator of the universe find me worthy to be His friend?
How do I use my messy life to draw others to Christ?
How can I lose the last 20 lbs, once and for alll?
